You want a special wildlife experience, whether it’s your first safari or you have been before.

This is actually the second group safari trip Rustom has put together for me and both have been equally as good as the other. Rustom came highly recommended to me and has not disappointed. Both trips had groups of over 20 participants. The first trip included 2 airplane pickups directly from inside the conservancy and transported to Nairobi Wilson airport. Rustom even arranged for taxi's to pick us up at one airport and transfer us to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta airport for our international flights, which also included a stop at a couple of gift shops and the world renowned Carnivore restaurant. There were many moving parts on both trips and many changes that Rustom seemlessly adapted for, provided answers, fair pricing, and made it happen. He is super knowledgeable and finds out answers when he doesn't have them. On both occasions we have stayed at the Porini Cottages which has to be a 5-star accommodation. The facilities and hospitality are exceptional, especially given how far into the conservancy you are, and how far away from the nearest town. Rustom's team made the whole thing easy. We were met on the main road, which Rustom shared a pin of their exact location to meet. The team took care of our bags, transported us to the cottages, and gave us a unique safari experience that I have been told from many, we would not receive at a national park. Since it's a conservancy, we did not have to stay on the road path. They drove off road to drive up close and personal with animals, chase exciting animal interactions, and check out where animals could be hiding. A simply incredible experience! I am looking forward to utilizing Rustom for next years trip. I have zero reservations about recommending Rustom if you are considering a unique, one-of-a-kind safari experience.

Our safari planning was well underway when I came across a recommendation for Safarinut and Rustom online. I decided to get in touch with him for his perspective and am so glad I did! I made it clear at the outset that I just wanted his opinion on the itinerary so far and that I may not book with him. He was very open to it. But I soon realized that Rustom, more than any of the travel companies I had spoken to, was able to understand my vision for our family trip and partner with me (and my budget!) to customize it. He pushed back on my first accommodation choice (the one other travel agencies were happy to go with), and insisted that we should be in small, high-sevice camps right from Day One, which would kick off our trip on a « wow » note. We were in Ol Pejeta, Naboisho Conservancy and the Mara Reserve, Northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire — a 14-day magical adventure. Each day was spectacular. We saw the Big 5 and the Ugly 5 multiple times, were lucky to see 5 river crossings, and countless other birds and animals. I had wanted to be in a particular camp in Tarangire that Rustom was not familiar with. When next in Tanzania he made it a point to scope it out before booking us there. He checked in with me every day during our travels — from the minute we landed in Nairobi — to see how the trip was going. Rustom’s level of customer-centric service, his expertise and responsiveness is rare and extraordinary. I would recommend him and Safarinut without hesitation.

Booking your first ever Safari can be a very daunting experience, how do I get there? where do I stay? how long should I go for? etc etc we had so many questions! This was our first safari and I'm so glad we worked with Safarinut. It was one of the best experiences we've had, and we plan on doing it again with our children. If I am totally honest, I would not normally want anyone to organise my holiday for me, and I would much rather plan things independently. In fact, I am more used to planning trips for others, leading students to the Himalayas to trek, or to Gambia to do charitable work, or to teach in a High School in China. I was conscious that on this occasion, visiting Kenya, where I had wanted to go for a very, very long time, I wouldn’t have the opportunity to do a pre-visit to make sure that everything was going to run smoothly. But, then I had Safarinut personally recommended to me, and I gave the idea some consideration. After my first conversation with Rustom, I felt somewhat reassured. We discussed what we wanted to get out of the trip; the onus for me was to get as close as possible to the wildlife, but we had other concerns besides that. We wanted to ensure that we were visiting somewhere that was both ethical and sustainable, together with a premium wildlife experience. We wanted a certain degree of comfort, but were happy to stay in tents if it meant that we would be closer to the fauna, which led to some very interesting close encounters! After several more conversations discussing our wants and needs, Rustom prepared an itinerary, including internal flights to visit the beach after our 5 day safari. Rustom’s attention to detail when it came to preparing our trip was outstanding. All of our expectations were exceeded. Everything went very smoothly, and the level of service was exceptional, from our drivers, to the staff at Porini Giraffe Camp, and their incredibly knowledgeable safari guides. Having had reservations about having anyone organise a trip for me, based on my experience with Safarinut, I am now a convert. I am not one to normally write reviews, but given the excellent experience that we had, and the fact that I had a personal recommendation, I thought I should do the same, as I have absolutely no hesitation in also personally recommending Rustom and Safarinut. Our family of 11 (grandparents, adult children, grandchildren) just returned from a 2-week trip to Kenya, which included 5 nights on safari. As the person charged with making arrangements, I was overwhelmed by the number of choices: when to go? Kenya or Tanzania? Where to stay? How to move between places - drive or fly? I stumbled across Rustom's name on TripAdvisor, and looked him up. The reviews were so positive that I finally ventured a call. From that moment on, everything went FAR more smoothly. Where do I start?? This was truly a trip of a life time and working with Rustom made it flawless with every single detail thought of for us to really enjoy the trip. Our family have done 4 safaris with Rustom at Safarinut. Each one has been excellent and he has curated different safaris to suit whether we are travelling with kids or grandparents. It was our first trip to Kenya and we realized we had 24 hours in which to go on a safari. Rustom at Safarinut, with a day’s notice, managed to set up what was to become the most unforgettable trip to a Maasai Mara conservancy. We were driven to the conservancy, reaching around 11am, where we were met by David and Geoffrey. We started our time there with a walking safari, led by David, who showed us things we could not have seen from a car, such as snake trails in the dirt and features of a elephant skull. We walked within 30m of various herbivores, including giraffe and wildebeest. We then went back for lunch and a nap. On waking up from the nap, we saw an adult cheetah from the window of our tent. That evening we went on a jeep safari where we saw a mother cheetah and her cubs. By the end of this safari, giraffe and zebra had become such a common sight that we stopped pointing them out to each other. After dinner we went on a night safari where we watched hyenas hunting various herbivores. Rustom, knowing our time constraints, designed the trip so that we could see as much as possible while we were there. After each stage he spoke with David and/or Geoffrey about what we had seen, so that the next stage could be planned in such a way that we saw everything we wanted to. Knowing we were keen to see lions, he spoke with our hosts and planned a route for the next morning’s 5 hour jeep safari. Within an hour of getting into the jeep in the morning, we saw 14 lions! Including a large male fending off two sub-adults, and multiple cubs. We were then driven back to our hotel, still processing what was one of the most spectacular trips of our lives. A huge thank you to our hosts at the conservancy, and to Rustom at Safarinut, whose expertise and long friendship with our hosts made the trip possible. I couldn’t plan a day tour in my home city with 24 hours notice, I have no idea how Rustom planned five safaris to a remote conservancy.

Rustom really gets you - and that’s the main difference. He understands exactly what you are looking for in your safari experience and then matches it perfectly with his intimate knowledge of the various camps, the local guides that are so important as you spend all your day with them and of course the different parks with their respective unique animal populations and landscape. He is “with” you from the planning phase all the way through the actual safari experience. He checks in regularly, resolves any small issues or ad hoc requests and makes sure you actually only have to fly to Nairobi and show up - everything else you don’t have to worry about. I think of SafariNut as the safari-goer’s champion, because he knows how to build an adventure around my unique values, and I am confident he can do so for other travelers. Rustom took time to understand my priorities then used his deep expertise and strong industry relationships to plan a personalized safari that was fire. I recommend others also contact Rustom; a chat will cost nothing and will likely improve any safari. I was planning a last minute (traveling within a month), solo safari. Before booking with a large tour operator, I emailed Rustom after seeing his name on TripAdvisor. Rustom called to understand my values then built a plan around my preferences, including my tight budget. He didn’t push me to book through him, but I decided to go with his intinerary because it seemed to better align with my interests and constraints than the group tour. The safari exceeded my expectations. I was handheld throughout my time in country and treated to low-pressure wildlife viewing with knowledgable guides and cushy camps. Rustom also communicated daily during the trip via WhatsApp, because he was genuinely interested to hear what I saw that day, what was good, and what didn’t meet expectations. While everything went off without a hitch thanks to Rustom’s detailed plan, I have full confidence he could sort any unforseen issue because of his strong relationships with people on the ground. The large tour operator would have provided a good safari, but Rustom delivered a fantastic one.

Finding Rustom (safarinut) by complete chance was the best thing to happen for our trip and extended honeymoon to Africa! We highly recommend his services and expertise in planning trips and safaris, he is incredibly knowledgeable and has a huge amount of contacts to plan the perfect experiences! We started discussions with Rustom a year and a half before our trip which meant we could evolve our plans and itinerary, taking onboard his advice and suggestions for him to then meticulously plan the perfect route for us, which resulted in a month and 4 countries - South Africa, 2 weeks driving the garden route from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, Botswanna, visiting the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park, Zimbabwe for Victoria Falls and then Kenya to stay at two Porini Camps in the Masai Mara!! Everything went seamlessly but it was also great to have Rustom on hand on WhatsApp for any questions we had during the trip which he always answered very promptly! The highlights for us have to be the safaris in Kenya, the Porini camps really are a home away from home, with incredible staff and service but it’s the abundance of wildlife in the untouched conservancies which makes it so amazing! In short, Rustom at Safarinut is incredibly skilful at recommending the right safari for each client. In October 2024, following a sudden holiday cancellation, I quickly decided upon Kenya as a replacement destination. Although I’d previously arranged many safaris for our family in southern Africa, this would be the first trip for my husband and I to east Africa. My husband and I were travelling with our two teenagers and wanted to experience a safari with a real emphasis on conservation, away from the crowds. We’ve been lucky enough to enjoy some incredible holidays, but this was genuinely one of the best holidays we have ever had — a true trip of a lifetime. From the moment we landed in Nairobi, every single detail was taken care of. Everything was completely seamless, which allowed us to simply relax and enjoy the experience. Rustom Framjee at Safari Nut organised the most incredible trip and his knowledge, recommendations and attention to detail were exceptional. We stayed at Hemingways Ol Seki Mara, which was absolutely perfect. It has all the luxury you could want while still feeling intimate, boutique and incredibly personal. The team were so warm and welcoming, and the whole experience felt very special. We were also very conscious of wanting to experience the safari in a way that was respectful and didn’t leave a negative impact, so Rustom recommended staying within a private conservancy. It was one of the best decisions we made. The conservancy was absolutely stunning and, because visitor and vehicle numbers are carefully controlled, we hardly ever saw anyone else while out on our safari drives. The animals seemed completely unbothered by our presence, which meant we were able to have incredibly close, peaceful encounters without feeling as though we were disturbing them. One evening at sunset, a female lion appeared with her tiny cubs, who could only have been days old. Watching them together in the fading light, with virtually nobody else around, was one of those extraordinary moments we will never forget. The safari itself exceeded every expectation. We saw everything we could possibly have wished for, including all of the Big Five, almost daily, as well as countless other incredible wildlife encounters. Every day brought something different. Rustom also recommended that we do a hot-air balloon safari, and we are so glad we listened to him. It was phenomenal and without doubt one of the highlights of the entire holiday — an experience we will never forget. From the accommodation and transfers to the safari experiences and little details along the way, everything was beautifully organised. We came home feeling that this wasn’t simply a holiday, but one of those rare experiences we will talk about for the rest of our lives. We cannot recommend Rustom and Safari Nut highly enough. I just returned from a phenomenal trip to Kenya and I must thank Rustom and Safarinut for helping me to plan a seamless and memorable vacation. I started planning a year ago and was overwhelmed with the choices...which country? which month? national park or conservancy? where to stay? how long to stay in each place? Rustom was incredibly helpful in listening to me and getting to know what type of experience would work best for me and my friends and then he helped to build an itinerary that worked perfectly for us. His communication was outstanding, which was incredibly reassuring. He would WhatsApp message and call all along the planning process as the pieces came together (and sometimes changed unexpectedly - thanks Kenya Airways) and along our entire trip he seemed to be following along, knowing when we were landing, messaging us as we landed to make sure we found the person meeting us at the airport. It made us all feel very safe and very cared for along the way and helped us fully relax and immerse ourselves into the experience. All of our transfers worked out very smoothly, including the charter flights between the camps which were very cool. If you can afford the flights between parks over driving, we were very happy we made that choice. Most importantly, the animals we saw were amazing, magical and varied in the different conservancies we visited. We were glad we did Ol Pejeta. The River Camp, (suggested by Rustom) was an incredible 5-star property and the animal viewing in Ol Pejeta exceeded our expectations. Don't miss seeing the 2 last northern white rhinos. One in our group really wanted to see lions and Rustom suggested a particular conservancy, Ol Kinyei in Masai Mara, which we loved and we saw lots of lions and cheetahs, including a family of lion cubs. If you want help planning with someone who clearly knows and loves Kenya, i would highly recommend using Rustom and Safarinut. Excellent communication, excellent help in making choices and he even helped get us a deal at one of our camps. Thank you Rustom!

This truly was a trip of a lifetime, Start to finish everything was perfect. From the start (which happened long before our departure) it was clear that this trip was going to be 100% tailored to us. The approach that Rustom took was personal, professional and accommodating. It was evident that Rustom was very experienced, knowledgeable and that Safarinut was a very established reputable business. The bespoke package that was organised for us would not have delivered on every element had it not been for the time Rustom took to understand what type of experience we wanted. That personal approach continued throughout the trip, and at every moment we felt well catered for, safe and carefree. Every transfer link, flight, taxi journey, etc was well organised and coordinated. Everything ran seamlessly, with an amazing team of people who at every step of the way were welcoming, engaging and knowledgeable. Our time at the conservancies was incredibly special. We were lucky enough to see 27 different mammals and 31 different birds, including lions and elephants every day. We would not have been able to enjoy this experience if we had felt that our visit was either having a negative impact on the environment or the Masai people. Knowing beforehand that the camps are environmentally friendly and that Safarinut’s policies and approach actively supports the Masai people, was very important to us. It was lovely hearing from the employees about how they feel, and seeing first hand the positive impact working for and with Safarinut is having on them personally, the Masai communities and conservation in Kenya. This utterly unique five star luxury bespoke experience exceeded every expectation on every level.

Very grateful to Rustom and his team for creating an amazing Kenya experience for us. Every day was an absolutely joyous adventure. We spent a week on the coast in Watamu, then two days in Nairobi, and finally a week at different safari spots in Western Kenya. Rustom and crew planned all of our flights, transfers, and hotel accommodations. He kept in touch with us daily with texts and phone calls. The staff on the ground were also so helpful and knowledgeable. Our entire vacation was executed perfectly, without any complications.

Browsing around for a safari in Kenya, reading various descriptions of hotels and I stumbled upon Safarinut. Other people seemed to be full of praise so we contacted him to help plan our holiday. From the moment we contacted him we were at ease, he asked what our budget was and found lots of different options. He helped us figuring out what it was we really wanted from our safari and made sure we got it. We had lots of questions (clothes, binoculars, bug spray and so on) and never did we feel like we were a pain in the a*** - he truly understand first time safari people and how to put you at ease. Communication was spot on, a reply within hours. Once on safari he kept in touch, asking how we went on and if we needed any help in anything. This was really helpful as we moved accommodation 3 times. He even arranged for a birthday cake for me - much appreciated 😊 Back home we got a “feedback” call which was great. He listened and I’m sure that our likes and dislikes will be taken into consideration for future guests. If you are planning a wildlife trip then Rustom is your man - he will steer you away from the overcrowded tourist spots (unless that’s what you want) and make sure your holiday is tailor made just you. I originally booked a trip in January that was canceled due to weather. Thankfully Rustom was able to work with us and we were able to reschedule our trip for April. Amazing and other superlatives do not adequately describe our safari all planned with Rustom Framjee - Safarinut. We first started speaking to Rustom just over a year ago, through our discussions we decided to go to two lodges in conservancy's adjacent to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. We went to the Mara Naboisho Conservancy and the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. Along the way we had a terrific Hot Air Balloon ride with a champagne breakfast. We also traveled though the Maasai Mara National Reserve on our way to another lodge. I recommend you take the time to learn the difference in experiences. We were fortunate enough to see an amazing variety in wildlife to include the Big Five animals and of course the "Ugly Five". Due to Rustom's great knowledge of Africa, his vast contacts and network, he planned an outstanding trip and was on top of every detail. This level of service, I believe will rarely be matched. We were in contact during our trip, Rustom would check in on Whats Ap to see how things were going. Due to our discussions, we also spent several days in Nairobi and went to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, the Giraffe Center and the Fairview Estate Coffee plantation. This was the one trip whereby the actual experience was greater than our anticipation before the trip. The Kenyan people were wonderful. Safarinut planned a surprise Maasai celebration of our wedding anniversary there and this made the trip even more special. It was an unforgettable experience set against one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. We stayed in two luxury exclusive use properties in the Maasai Mara region. The choice of camps was perfect, offering breathtaking views of savannah - they were extremely comfortable, the food delicious, and waking up to those magical views each day was simply extraordinary. Safarinut ensured we had great guides who were incredibly friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Their passion for the wildlife and the Mara made the experience even more enriching. The wildlife sightings were phenomenal. We saw nearly every species in the Mara – Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, impala, Topi, wildebeest, elephants, waterbuck and hartebeest. We also saw magnificent lion prides, followed a cheetah, had a leopard walk past our safari vehicle and watched African buffalo and hippopotamus in their natural habitat. Every game drive felt like being in a wildlife documentary. We are already planning our third African safari with Safarinut, next time Tanzania and it certainly will not be our last. A heartfelt thank you to Rustom and the entire team at Safarinut for creating such a flawless and unforgettable journey.

Rustom is AMAZING. The safari in and of itself was incredible but Rustom's service really set the bar in the sky. He is incredibly responsive, accommodating, and insightful. He is meant for this career - his love, knowledge, and respect for the safari/tourist ecosystem is infectious!
